Welcome to the Workforce Development Academy (WDA)! Presented by Nashville Career Advancement Center, this program provides community and faith-based organizations opportunities for networking and coordination, on-going technical assistance regarding utilization of the One Stop system, and opportunities to share national workforce development best practice information.

Academy membership is not exclusive; the opportunity is open to any and all staff involved in employment, employment-readiness, and/or career and workforce development in the Nashville community.

The Academy holds brown-bag lunches to provide opportunities for information sharing and networking on the first Thursdays of February, May, August, and November from 12:00 – 1:00 at the Nashville Career Advancement Center located at 621 Mainstream Drive.  These lunches provide the group an opportunity to discuss employment and workforce development issues facing providers in Nashville and include information regarding the Career Center facility and resources.

Current Academy members include Christian Women’s Job Corps of NashvilleExternal Link, Conexion AmericasExternal Link, and Metro Action CommissionExternal Link among others.

If you have any questions or would like to RSVP for the quarterly brown-bag, please contact Ellen Zinkiewicz at Ellen.Zinkiewicz@nashville.gov or 862-8890 x 281.
