RESOURCE CENTERS
Our resource centers offer computers with Internet access, copy and
fax machines, telephones and career resource materials. Labor market
information is available on local, state, national and international
levels.

EMPLOYER PRESENTATIONS:
The Career Center's Employers Services Unit
schedules small, mid-size and large employers from various
industries for presentations to discuss information about the
company and available positions.

JOB FAIRS
The Career Center regularly offers opportunities for employers to
conduct job fairs at our locations. We also sponsor and participate
in several large scale job fairs.

CURRENT JOB LISTINGS
Job seekers have access to Job Specialists who assess each client to
identify needs and give referrals to employers.

NETWORKING
The Career Center offers many networking opportunities for job
seekers to connect with other job seekers and area employers.

JOB READINESS INFORMATION SESSIONS The Career Center offers job readiness information sessions on
resume writing, job searching and interviewing. Each session is
designed to improve job seekers' opportunities for employment.

Veterans Program:
A representative will meet with veterans to provide labor exchange and
specialized services to military veterans.
 |
|
Vocational Rehabilitation:
This program provides services needed for employment to eligible
persons with disabilities.
 |

Senior Community
Service Employment Program:
This program assists low income adults, 55 years old and older, obtain
jobs by offering paid on-the-job training. Call 834-4900 for more
information.

Immigrant and Refugee Services (available for Davidson County):
This program assists refugees and immigrants who are looking for work.

Families First
The Nashville
Career Advancement Center is working with the Tennessee Department
of Human Services to equip Families First job seekers with tools
needed to gain and retain employment.

Unemployment Insurance Information:
All unemployment claims for Davidson County residents must be
processed by calling the Call Center at 253-0800. The Mainstream Drive
Career Center location DOES NOT process unemployment claims. Claims
are taken at our Rutherford location.

Bus Schedules For Metro Center Location: Schedules are
available at the Front Desk and in the Resource Center.
