Wilson County continues to be a
rapidly growing community. According to the 2000 census the county experienced a
31.2% increase in population over the past ten years. The census showed an
overall county population of 88,809. The county is broken down into three major
cities: Lebanon, the county seat, (population 20,235); Mt. Juliet (12,366); and
Watertown (1358).
Wilson County is only minutes away from Nashville. Interstate 40 runs through
the county as well as I-840. Much industry is already in the area with many
others looking because of interstate access and other positive features. Wilson
County is home to the Nashville Super speedway (built by Dover Downs), The Prime
Outlet Mall of Lebanon, Cracker Barrel Headquarters, State Parks, and many other
great attractions.
