Resources

Supportive Services:
Middle Tennessee has a variety of different resources available to enhance access to services and supports throughout the community.  2-1-1 Resource and Referral Service is available both online and by phone.

In addition, statewide resources are available at TN HELP.

Employment Tools:
As industries experience shortages, NCAC and its Workforce Board has reacted by developing resources for job seekers to access information on career descriptions, training and education, employers contact information and labor market for the industry.  Two such resources are: Health Care Career Map and Teaching as a Career.

Grants:
Nashville Career Advancement Center (NCAC) is a division of the Mayor’s Office of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County.  As a Metro agency, we write requests for federal and state grants to serve a particular audience in this area for a specified amount of time.  Often times, NCAC will serve as the administrator of the money and contract with community agencies to serve the clients.  In order to be fair, we will post an official notice to the public for opportunities to receive additional funding.
