The Nashville Career
Advancement Center works with
individuals to explore career options,
decide on a direction, target a career
or industry, then strategize and market
oneself for the job search. NCAC’s
Workforce Campus is a proud partner in
six Tennessee Career Centers located in
Davidson, Rutherford, Wilson and
Trousdale Counties. The
Tennessee Career Centers are a network
of Career centers across the state where
job seekers can get assistance and
career information.

RESOURCE CENTERS
Our resource centers offer computers
with Internet access, copy and fax
machines, telephones and career resource
materials.
Labor
market information
is available on local, state, national
and international levels.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
A one-on-one meeting with a Career Coach
at the Workforce Campus and the
Tennessee Career Centers helps customers
determine the goals and steps needed to
reach employment. During these meetings,
Career Coaches use questionnaires and
interview techniques to identify a
customer's work history, skill level,
educational level and any other barriers
that need to be addressed.
WORKSHOPS
NCAC and
the Career Centers provide workshops for
Job Seekers to give them the ability to
develop a plan of action. Workshops
include a variety of topics on job
searching techniques, negotiating
skills, resume writing and interviewing
schools.
Veterans Program
A representative will meet with veterans
to provide labor exchange and
specialized services to military
veterans.
Rehabilitation Services
This program provides services needed
for employment to eligible persons with
disabilities.
Immigrant and Refugee Services
This program assists refugees and
immigrants who are looking for work.
Older Workers
This program assists low-income workers
over the age of 40 who are looking for
work.

CAREER CONNECTIONS
NCAC and
the Career Centers hold a series of
networking meetings that provide insight
and knowledge about the world of work
from career and job search experts in

RECRUITING CALENDAR
The Career Center offers job seekers the
unique opportunity to access hiring
employers through local job fairs,
hiring events at the centers, employer
job listings and referrals. Job seekers
can gain information about local
employers to better prepare for
interviews and the job search process
through the

JOB FAIRS
The Career Center regularly offers
opportunities for employers to conduct
job fairs at our locations. We also
sponsor and participate in several large
scale job fairs.
SKILLS UPGRADE
Talent Development helps a person
changing careers to increase his or her
skills through the Workforce Investment
Act training funds. Training is for
customers who lack the necessary skills
to achieve self-sufficient employment or
to customers who are looking to get one
step further in their careers. |
