High-Technology Training Grant

The H-1B training grant is designed to provide high-level training in the architecture, biomedical, biotechnical, engineering, and information technology sectors. Please be aware, that while receiving an approved credential is one of the outcomes of this training, the ultimate outcome is employment. With this in mind, we encourage trainees to use their current training to strengthen their resumes and seek employment, if possible, before the training is complete.

Please be aware that H-1B training is not an entitlement. The Nashville Career Advancement Center (NCAC) may decide to approve or not approve training candidates and/or training goals, as well as modify training funds available to training candidates, as will best facilitate successful performance for the overall training program.

NCAC does not release training funds directly to program participants. Funds covering approved training are sent directly to the training provider.

It is encouraged that participants research potential training providers carefully in order to receive the best training available to them at the time. “Training utilizing a Tennessee Higher Education CommitteeExternal Link approved training provider is required.”

NCAC has created an online survey to better indicate if individuals may be candidates for H-1B training. Please click the link below to complete the survey. After submitting the survey, you will be notified as to what are your options.
