WIA Title I - Local Workforce Development Boards Training and workforce investment programs for adults, youth, and dislocated workers.

Wagner-Peyser Act - Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Basic labor exchange functions (matching job applicants to employers job orders, etc.) of Job Service.

Adult Education and Literacy Activities of WIA Title II - Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Provides assistance to adults to complete their secondary school education and to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency.

Programs of Title I, Vocational Rehabilitation Act - Tennessee Department of Human Services A federal/state funded program providing services to help individuals with disabilities enter or return to employment.

Families First - Tennessee Department of Human Services Provides Welfare Reform TANF services and programs.

Title V of the Older Americans Act - Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development and other federal contractors Provide assistance to low income older workers by providing meaningful part-time work experience and providing opportunities to obtain unsubsidized jobs in the private or public sector.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), funded under Title V of the Older Americans Act, serves persons with low incomes who are 55 years old or over and have poor employment prospects. The program has two purposes: to provide useful community services and to foster individual economic self-sufficiency through training and job placement in unsubsidized jobs.

Post Secondary Vocational Education - Tennessee Technology Centers and the Community College system Provides vocational training beyond that obtainable in high school.

Trade Act of 1975 - Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) is available to workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work are reduced as a result of increased imports. TAA offers a variety of benefits and services to help workers prepare for and obtain employment. In 1993 the act was amended to cover workers whose employment is adversely affected by the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA-TAA). 

Veterans Program - Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development This program provides Local Veterans Employment Representatives (LVER) and Disabled Veteran Outreach Program (DVOP) staff. These staff members serve as an outreach to veterans and insure veterans' preference in referral to jobs and other services. Employment-related testing, training information, skills assessment, referral, and case management are among the services provided. 

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development E&T Programs - Local Public Housing Authority agencies Only those HUD funded activities that provide employment and training activities are required career center partners.

Unemployment Compensation - Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development All programs authorized under state unemployment compensation laws that are in accordance with applicable Federal law.

Job Corps - Recruitment in Tennessee is contracted to a private firm.  A program for disadvantaged youth where the individuals reside and attend classes on a Job Corps campus in Memphis or Bristol.

Native American Programs - The American Indian Center Specific WIA funding is provided to support employment and training activities for Indians, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian individuals.   

Youth Opportunity Grants - Program Grantees Vary Grants to eligible entities to provide activities to increase the long term employment of youth who live in empowerment zones, enterprise communities, and high poverty areas.
